My husband and I visited Panama City Beach in June, and we had a great experience. We are from Florida and have been to many, many beaches. Panama ..

Absolutely soft, white sand and crystal clean waters. What more could you ask for? I went in February, and there was no spring break crowd yet ..

Camp Helen State Park
Camp Helen State Park is a unique geological landform surrounded on three sides by The Gulf of Mexico, Phillips Inlet, and Lake Powell. The diversity provided by the three different water bodies creates a habitat for wildlife that includes rare shorebirds, and Bald Eagles.

The 183.5 acre park contains maritime hammocks, freshwater wetlands, sand pine scrub, coastal dunes, as well as a salt marsh. The lodge at Camp Helen, and its cottages offer a look at how tourist spent their vacations in the 1940’s. Be prepared to hike a bit to enjoy this park’s wonderful trails and beaches. Fishing for both fresh and saltwater species has traditionally been popular at Camp Helen.

This is important for your safety, and for the survival of listed species. We remind you that Camp Helen State Park is in the early stages of its planned development, we will periodically keep you posted on our progress.
